Building the plot

With the massive list of products to be integrated, the team was required to add the option to search products. This will help the user to surpass the long list of items and have a look at only those, he is interested in.

Apart from this, so as to keep the purchase smoother, they added the option to mark products as favourites. With this they can reconsider the product anytime they wish, without wasting time to find them again.

Shopping Cart

The cart keeps all the shortlisted products together, with the respective price and discount availed. It also allows you to add or remove any particular item/quantity before the final payment.

Track Order

To keep the bond intact, the team included the option to track the order. The inclusion empowers the user to keep a check on the process after he made the order. This will include packing, getting dispatched, shipping, and delivery. The interface also shares the estimated date of product delivery.

Apart from these, the application also allows you to cancel the order any time before delivery, if you find it getting delayed.

The Result

We ultimately came up with a social networking cum photo sharing application in the form of ‘Fashion Sizzle’, which had the capabilities to be used instead of both Twitter and Instagram. Realtor has grown its portfolio from 282 units with a market value of approximately 100 cr  to 9,414 units and approximately 200 cr  market value now.

When Mr R.S Sharma director, Marketing and Communications at Realtor, create a mobile paining for his company, he was clear that he did not want responsive webs. Rather, he wanted the mobile experience to be various from that offered at desktop browsing.

Collaboration and Communication

Project collaboration was done using Basecamp. Each project communication was done using email, Go to Meeting or Skype. To accelerate the development process, I-Softinc, along with his CEO Bob Dhillon, few down to our office and stayed for a few days to ensure that developments matched his expectations.

Process and Engagement Model

The project was executed on a Fixed Price Engagement model since the scope was defined and it was possible to estimate the project. Since the scope was relatively small, we adopted the Waterfall Development Model for it.

The backend was developed using WordPress CMS. Integration with Web2Text Database was done, and the project group set acron (a time-based scheduler) on a daily basis to update the Web2Text database so that the rental data of properties remains updated.

• Combining Personalized Ecommerce Feature in Sitecore CMS

IEMR’s requirement stated merging customized ecommerce competency in the Sitecore CMS, which wasn’t going to be an easy task. An important fact to

be pointed in this regard is that the default ecommerce capability of Sitecore is not so powerful, which allows easy integration unlike website’s old platform.

• Compiling and Migrating Huge Data

Compiling, customizing and then integrating the reporting system in Sitecore was not an easy task. The large amount of data needed to be sorted and categorized before being incorporated. Another enormous task to be carried out was migration of old data into latest Sitecore database.

The Solution

Personalization & Assimilation of Data

We analysed the user behaviour and accordingly build recommendations for them. We also created a custom admin area for the client because he also needed reports to analyse his sales related information, and it was not a manageable option on the Sitecore admin area.

Integrating Customized Modules

We made use of multi-tier architecture to make the webs scalable for future expansion requirements of the client. We applied Lucene for improving the search speed along with faceted search benefit, for filtering at the blink of an eye.
